DIY Project how to turn really old books into Home Decor
Yes I am a Photographer but also I LOVE to decorate and do artistic projects so I thought I would share this one. It is simple and inexpensive.
First go to thrift stores and buy old books the ones that are really really old like 1920's 1930's work best and you will be surprised how easy these are to find.
Here is a picture of my books I found at 2 thrift stores yesterday the cost me $5.00.
Take the books outside and remove the covers. You may find some really cool writing inside on the front page and you can put this book on the top of the stack to show it off. I painted the bindings of a few in the stack Robin's egg blue to give them some extra color. You could also leave them all natural for an earthy look or paint them all white for a shabby chic beach look.
Stack them according to size largest on bottom and ties them with some cord or ribbon. You could get really creative here adding little embellishments on the top. Here is how mine came out and it took me 10 minutes to make these!

Fruit Stand Sonni Mae!
I have a hard time blogging and keeping it interesting. I would rather tell a story with my photos than words. I really cannot put into words the emotions that overwhelm me when I have a shoot like I had yesterday. A perfect baby girl who was all smiles. A sweet mom and dad. A wonderful assistant. And....all day there was clouds and it looked like the bottom would fall out of the sky at any minute. Well it held out and the first rain drop fell when the shoot was over when my client was backing out of the driveway. For me life just doesn't get much better than that. Enjoy the images of this sweet baby in the Chevy with lots of fruit!

Rock and Roll Cowgirl Music Video Shoot
This was something out of the norm for me but when Chrystina Fincher sent me and email and asked to use our Turq. 66 Chevy for hey music video "My Baby Mine" I said sure! I got to take a few photos of the process because photography is what I do and as much of a part of my soul and Chrstina's music is part of hers.
What an amazing artist. She is so incredibly beautiful and talented. I highly suggest buying her latest CD from Itunes Coast to Coast and a Sunburned Heart.
Here is her bio:
Chrystina Fincher is a singer, songwriter, and producer that has a flavorful span of music and recordings throughout her career. She has worked with artists spanning from Third Day to Butch Walker. She currently leads worship full time at Andy Stanley’s church, Northpoint Community in Alpharetta, GA. She is also is a songwriter for the Rethink Group, also based in Alpharetta. She lives there with her husband and 3 children. It is her hope and vision to bring glory to God through the power of what He has let us all enjoy and connect to…music.
